Last month, I joined Mood Reader Bingo Challenge hosted by Yna The Mood Reader that ran for the entirety of July.
There were nine prompts for the reading challenge, and nine prompts for the social media bingo card. I had a lot of fun doing the challenges! I love the fact that the TBR was called “Possibility Pile” since as mood readers, we know how often we go astray of our reading plans. 😂
Mood Reader Bingo Prompts
📚 Part of A Series – For this, I read Hawkeye Vol. 4: Rio Bravo by Matt Fraction. I’ve been on a Hawkeye binge because I’ve been hearing a lot of hype and positive things about Fraction’s run. True enough, I ended up enjoying the whole series after all!
📚 “The” on the Title – I read The Devil and The Deep Blue Sea by Amelia Wilde. I forgot whose tweet I saw on my timeline that made me grab this book. It’s a dark romance and a greek myth-inspired story about Poseidon.
📚 Out in 2020 – I was on a Bromance Book Club binge. And for this, I counted Crazy Stupid Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams.
📚 Fave Genre – Contemporary Fiction is one of my favorite genres. I had Big Wild Summer by Stephanie J. Scott for this prompt. I enjoyed the first two books of this series. However, this one fell a little short.
📚 A Random Pick – I marked this prompt complete with Isn’t It Bromantic? by Lyssa Kay Adams. This was actually my favorite among the Bromance Books!
📚 Below 250 pages – This was an easy one. Hawkeye Vol. 3: L.A. Woman by Matt Fraction takes this spot. I enjoyed this because I love Kate Bishop’s character!
📚 By an Asian Author – For this, I read Dial A for Aunties by Jesse Q. Sutanto. This was peak chaos! I really had a great time reading this hilarious book!
📚 Fave Color on the Cover – Purple is one of my favorites. Not only my favorite color is there, but also XOXO by Axie Oh is also actually my favorite book cover so far for this year! I really dig the illustrations and the Seoul city backdrop on the cover!
📚 Fave Trope – Friends to Lovers is one of my favorite tropes! I had We Can’t Keep Meeting Like This by Rachel Lynn Solomon complete my mood reader bingo card!
I spent my whole July doing the prompts for this amazing challenge! July was a good reading month for me. Thank you to Yna The Mood Reader for hosting this awesome readathon!

Ooh, this sounds like a really fun bingo! And you had some great picks! You’re 100% right about that cover of XOXO. It’s STUNNING!
I’m definitely going to buy myself a hardcover because the design is also printed inside, just so I can stare at it for hours.
