During my last recap, I mentioned that I wasn’t sure if I could go back to doing monthly recaps. However, I figured it’s better for my sanity to recall everything I did in a month, rather than trying to go against my goldfish memory. So here goes my July 2022 Wrap-Up! So What Happened? July…
How To Fake It In Hollywood by Ava Wilder | Book Review
I don’t exactly remember how and when I first came across How to Fake It in Hollywood, but after reading the synopsis, I immediately added it to my TBR. See, celebrity fake dating is quickly becoming one of my guilty pleasures; the glitz and glamour, and obviously the messy drama just tickles my heart.
The Noh Family by Grace K. Shim Book Review | A K-Drama Inspired Story About Family
Hello, fellow bookworms! I’m sharing another book review today!
The Noh Family by Grace K. Shim is a K-drama inspired YA novel that follows Chloe Chang and her discovery of her estranged paternal relatives.
Summer’s Edge by Dana Mele Book Review | An Evocative Page-Turner with A Compelling Plot Twist
I was so excited to read Summer’s Edge since I enjoyed Dana’s debut novel, People Like Us, which came out way back in 2018! So obviously, I was craving more of her lyrical writing. I immediately signed up when she opened up spots for Summer’s Edge street team.
I wasn’t disappointed at all because of how gripping the story was. Also both of the movie comps used really fit the story and as a fan of both The Haunting of Hill House and I Know What You Did Last Summer, I really appreciated that.
The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston | A Wonderful Story About Grief and Love
When one of Berkley’s publicists reached out to me and pitched this book, I was immediately hooked by the first paragraph of the synopsis. I’m also a millennial ghostwriter who may or may not be disillusioned.
I haven’t read a lot of romance books featuring ghosts, The Dead Romantics kinda reminded me of The Mediator Series by Meg Cabot. From the very start, I was intrigued and I found it easy to connect with Florence’s character.

Flip The Script by Lyla Lee | A Fun and Sapphic Love Letter to K-Dramas
So before I spill my thoughts about this book, can we just take a quick moment to appreciate how cute and lovely the cover of Flip The Script looks like! I’ve honestly found a great affinity with the color pink this year and this cover is one of my favorites.
And the cover is just as cute as the story! I was hooked from the very beginning and it was so easy to connect with Hana’s character and personality. This was also my first Lyla Lee book, although I have I’ll Be The One on my Kindle and I’ll be reading that soon!
