Hello Authors and Publicists, it seems like you have a book for me to review…
First of all, thank you for even considering me to work as a reviewer for your book. Second, this review policy page highlights all the details you might need including preferred genres, age group, review outline, rates, and contact information.
What do I read?
AGE GROUP
- Middle Grade (Very occasional)
- Young Adult
- New Adult / Adult
GENRES I WILL READ
Highly Preferred:
- Contemporary Fiction
- Romance
- Mystery / Thriller
- Graphic Novels / Comic Books
Willing to Read:

- Historical Fiction
- Science Fiction / Dystopian
GENRES I WILL NOT READ
- Self-Help
- Politics
- Biographies and Autobiographies
- Erotica
- Spirituality / Religion
- Psychology
I occasionally read some from the genres I listed as I will not read, but that’s just it. It’s just occasional reading and I can’t say that I’ll be able to produce a quality review for the genre.
I’m also actively looking for books with a more diverse representation and are written by BIPOC and LGBTQ+ authors.
Book series reviews are welcome, but I ask that you also provide a copy of all books, unless I already have one.
BOOK FORMATS
I accept physical and/or digital copies (epub or mobi only!) of books either as Advanced Reader Copy or Finished Copy. Audiobooks are also welcome because they count as reading! I have access to both Netgalley and Edelweiss as well.
What does my review look like?
Like most book reviews, I will include the book cover, Goodreads link, Amazon purchase link, synopsis, rating, and author bio at the end. The review itself consists of the following:
- A short blurb or paragraph discussing my feelings and what I thought of the book.
- A detailed discussion of the story elements (characters, setting, plot) and what I personally thought of them.
- Final Words, in which I will highlight points and why I should or should not recommend the book.
CONTENT WARNINGS
I will be explicit in stating the content or trigger warnings needed for the book as a service to the readers, so please be honest and include them once you send a request.
TYPES OF REVIEWS
I write both full reviews and mini-reviews, often in bullets. I reserve the right to choose which type of review I will write for the book. Still, both reviews will contain pertinent links and information about the book.
Regardless of the type, I will give my utmost honesty in reviewing the book, pointing out the strengths and weaknesses.
How long is the turnaround time?
A book review, including reading time, may take up to three months, depends on how fast I can read, so I don’t impose a deadline on myself because I want to enjoy reading, you know? I cannot stress this enough: I have a full-time and a part-time job so please take that into consideration when availing of my services.
Reviews for book series will also take a longer time.
If you want to have the review posted on a set deadline, a minimal amount of $15 shall be charged, l and I can prioritize reading the book and post the review on the agreed deadline.
Where do I post my reviews?
As always, all reviews will be cross-posted to Goodreads. Cross-posting to Amazon / BN and other platforms is okay if requested. I also make use of my Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest accounts to promote my posts.

Blogging is hard work, and I’ve been doing it for free since I started way back. I think it’s only fair that I ask for compensation for the time, effort and resources I use to produce good content.
All paid content will be disclosed in the post.
BLOG TOURS
While I can’t commit to organizing a Blog Tour, I’d be willing to join a tour only if the book really interests me. So most of the time I sign-up for tours I want but if you want me to join your tour, just let me know and we can try to work it out.
DNFs
As I have previously mentioned, I will be objective in reviewing books and I cannot guarantee that every review will be a positive one. If in case I didn’t like the book, I will be as constructive as I can in pointing out the things that didn’t work for me.
If in case I did not finish it, I will immediately inform you. I mark books as DNF on Goodreads and post a small write-up.
